BACKGROUNDClaudia studied Medicine at the University of Basel, where she graduated in 2005. After working as an assistant physician in Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology, she joined the national MD PhD program of the Swiss National Foundation (SNF Grant No:323530-119218). In her thesis, she focused on the computational prediction of physiological barriers, including the blood brain barrier and human intestinal absorption. After successful completion of her MD PhD thesis, she joined the Roche preclinical Modeling and Simulation group for a Roche Post Doc Fellowship. There, her research focused on the establishment of a novel PBPK model for the simulation and prediction of pharmacokinetics and dynamics in preclinical animal models.
Currently, Claudia works as a Post Doc at the Brain Imaging research group of the University Hospital of Psychiatry in Basel. Her current interests comprise, functional imaging analysis of the gut brain axis including time response relationships as well the application of machine learning paradigms in the area of brain imaging.
